Here are a few other helpful hints about toys:
1) Make sure that toys with strings, yarn, buttons, bells etc. are played with ONLY under constant supervision! They may be fatal if swallowed.
2) Watch out for sharp edged toys or household items, they can easily cut the kitten’s tongue.
3) Choose soft toys that bounce erratically. Bengals love surprise, and an odd bounce will be sure to put them on their toes, ready for action.
4) Cat tunnels are a lot of fun, especially the crinkly ones.
5) Anything with water is a good time
6) Open paper bags are a party; because they crunch when stepped on, move easily and can be crawled into.
7) Anything small enough to grab with teeth, but big enough to not be swallowed make great fetch toys.
8) Feeders can also be “toys”. As a homeschool mom, EVERYTHING, it seems, needs to be educational. I have found some great feeding toys that will stimulate their mind, keep them from
Stimulo Cat Feeding Station.
This satisfies the hunting drive that the bengals have. They have to search for their food, and get it out, using their paw. It’s made of dishwasher safe plastic. It’s been tested on our bengals and has been a favorite!
